At first, Pedro Barn didn’t sweep me off my feet — but after 5–6 stays (always in our balcony room), it’s now the only place we think of for a getaway. The comfort, the view, and the peaceful vibe make it feel like our own private escape. And yes, the restaurant downstairs deserves a standing ovation — their crab fried rice is so good it should have its own fan club. The staff are warm, attentive, and make sure every stay is effortless. Every visit here is a beautiful mix of relaxation, great food, and genuine hospitality — a place that truly grows on you...

We stayed in the Stanford cottage by leaf. Lovely cottage with a stunning view. The caretaker is very supportive and friendly. He helped us with transport arrangements as well. Meals were made by the caretaker and it was delicious

The location is superb we stayed at Pedro barn and the customer service is amazing. But my suggestion for improvement is not to maintain the same alar cart menus for every day and it would be nice. Overall very good and would love to visit again ❤️

We stayed on half board at Pedro Barn Hotel a few weeks back and it was a great experience. The hotel's management was friendly and supportive towards our needs. The interior, reminiscent of traditional British homes, added a delightful aspect to our stay. The meals were satisfactory. The only drawback was the chilly nights; the absence of heaters in the rooms was felt.

Stopped by here to see what it was like, neighborhood is interesting for about 10 minutes. I had tea and food for lunch which was just okay and nothing special. The bread on sandwich was a little stale. The service was great and the staff were friendly. I was only customer at the time of dining in....

We didn’t stay here, we just wanted to look around and witness it, as you wouldn’t expect to see such a place in Sri Lanka! Being British, the houses definitely reminded us of England and the whole street is like a British cul-de-sac! Ramon, who manages it, was absolutely lovely! He showed us around and even pointed us in the direction of the clubhouse on the estate, where we could get hot chocolate (it was raining and cold). We were the only people there which we didn’t expect as we thought this was a place tourists visited, but it turns out it’s really unknown to tourism and most of the homes are holiday homes for Sri Lankans and foreigners, so it really is a lived-in, private housing estate. We had a great couple of hours here! Thank you Ramon for being so kind and helping us get the best experience (despite the weather) of this really cool place in Nuwara Eliya.
