We had the most wonderful stay at Arika Villa in Dambulla. From the moment we arrived, the team’s warmth and attentiveness made us feel completely at home. The chef and kitchen team were exceptional – every meal was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. Our room was spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, with thoughtful touches throughout. The villa’s location is perfect – peaceful yet close to all the sights. It’s the kind of place where you can truly unwind and feel cared for. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful two-night stay at the hotel. From the warm welcome to the friendly and attentive staff, everything was impressive. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully served. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!

A cozy little gem in Dambulla. Excellent service location and rooms Absolutely massive , comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Exceptionally clean and well maintained. Arika isn’t huge or super modern, but has old school charm backed by truly exceptional service and food. The hotel Manager and Chef were absolute highlights along with the rest of the staff. Exceptionally friendly, flexible and helpful, they made sure the attended to all requirements. The chefs food was excellent weather snacks and bites, rice and curry or a great BBQ A very relaxing stay.

I loved everything about this resort. We were warmly welcomed with drinks, and our clean, comfortable room had a spacious bathroom and a terrace facing the garden. Though the TV wasn’t working properly, they provided an iron and hairdryer on request. The resort is set in a serene, nature-filled area. Relaxing by the pool was a highlight. The chef was passionate and friendly, and the food was delicious. Staff were well-trained and genuinely welcoming. I appreciated their eco-friendly efforts—notes on water usage and time switches to save energy showed real care for the environment. Highly recommended!

We had such a lovely stay at Hotel Arika. The staff were so accommodating and flexible. The dining and pool area is beautiful. The trees and river next to hotel mean you can always watch the nature that inhabits the area from the comfort of your table. Our room was spacious, modern and with good air conditioning. From the balcony, again, you could watch the monkeys and birds. The food is really first class, offering a good selection but obviously the Sri Lankan curry selection was particularly good. Also, for those cautious travellers, you can rest assured that the hotel takes great care in providing plenty of safe bottled water. This was a very peaceful experience and would highly recommend for anyone seeking this too.

It was seriously awful experience! The hotel is very rundown. The doors of the cabinets were falling down. Dust was everywhere and smell. Air conditioning stopped working in the middle of the night. The internet wasn’t working ether! I must say the people who work were extremely nice and smilie. But they are not trained at all. The restaurant- it’s another level of horror. We travel and eat out a lot but not even one meal was done properly in Arika restaurant. I can’t give it even 1 star! Sorry for ourselves, we came such a long way from Australia to experience something like that.
