This is a beautiful property 25 mins from the airport. We stayed one night after a long flight. Upon arrival there was a birthday cake waiting for me in our room which was a special touch as I was travelling with my family for a milestone birthday. The rooms were huge and really lovely...giving a true feeling of old world charm whilst having all modern amenities. The breakfast was fabulous and the pool area stunning. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Highly recommended.

A beautiful and peaceful hotel to spend our last night in Sri Lanka. The staff were the most attentive I have experienced and nothing was too much. The food was amazing and we were even offered breakfast prepared as a takeaway because we had to leave for a flight at 3:30am! Our room was tastefully decorated throughout, super comfortable bed, plus the added bonus of a coffee machine. The building and grounds have been restored beautifully. If I’m lucky enough to visit Sri Lanka again I would absolutely stay here!

We stayed one night when arriving in Sri Lanka. Flirtatious and colonial looking hotel. Good Room and Service. Very good breakfast. Very good option when arriving in Sri Lanka

From the moment we arrived at Uga Riva, we were struck by the peaceful, tranquil setting and beautiful décor. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, from the delicious breakfasts to the warm, attentive service. Darren, in particular, made us feel completely at home and ensured our every need was met. We left feeling truly cared for and can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

Great hotel. Small and unique. Very good attention to service and the food was amazing. Would recommend. Rooms spacious.

From the moment we arrived at this beautiful hotel, the wonderful staff ensured we felt relaxed and pampered. The mansion itself is gorgeous, a haven of serenity, and the perfect place to relax after a long journey, such as we had. Our room, one of only around 12, was beautiful, very spacious, cool and inviting. The enormous four poster bed, picturesquely draped with mosquito nets was extremely comfortable. The shuttered windows opened out onto a private garden area. We loved the large, well appointed bathroom too. To add to the exclusive feel, each room has its own dining area and sofas outside on the veranda, with an excellent menu and superb quality food. The pool is just a few steps from the rooms, and again has a wonderful feeling of calm., surrounded by a lovely garden. It truly is one of the most gorgeous places we have stayed in and we would return in a heartbeat.
