Day 01- Kickstart

You should be at Kandy by 8 am or 9 am and advised to have your breakfast before starting the journey. We will then directly travel to Mahiyanaganaya, and you will be provided with mouth-watering warm meals for lunch at the site. Our team of experts will give you pre-expedition training, and then we will start canoeing/ rafting along with the competitive tides of the river. The complete tour will be on paddling. When the sky turns orange, we will take a break from paddling, have the evening tea around 4.30 or 5 at the river bank, and prepare for the stay. At night you’ll be able to enjoy a BBQ or dinner at the campsite. Surely you will be mesmerized by the starry sky and the echoes of the woods.

Day 02- Fun continues…

The adventure begins for the second continuous day! You will be provided with a light breakfast and morning tea before the expedition. The paddling starts and continues until it’s time for lunch. You’ll get an amazing opportunity to prepare yourself a healthy and fresh ingredient including lunch, and share it with your comrades. As you know, sharing is caring. Amidst enjoying your adventure not only kayaking in the river but also walking through the woods (Wasgomuwa National Park), you’ll be able to feel the life surrounding you and make moments with nature. After settling up at the campsite, we will have our traditional evening cup of plain tea with ginger and be ready for the most exciting part of the day. Amidst the campfire along with the melodies of the night and the folktales, we will have dinner under the moonlit sky. Get ample rest and be ready for the final adventure!

Day 03- Adios!

After two days of fun and enjoyment, here we come to the finale of the Mahaweli expedition. It’s hard to say goodbye to the one place that turned out to be like your home. Yet, the day will last in your memory as you will witness the beauties of nature pretty much closer than you did in the past few days. Do not forget to check if you have packed all your belongings. As we will start paddling until we reach Manampitiya bridge, after having the morning tea or breakfast as your preference, you’ll see different sorts of amphibians, birds, and animals, including crocodiles and elephants if luck is on your plate. After reaching the Manampitiya bridge, we are having lunch, and you’ll be escorted back to Kandy around 6 or 7 pm. Till we meet again, goodbye!
