We are a team of Qualified Professional Training Instructors/ Facilitators, having hands on experience of providing Experiential Learning Solutions including Adventure based & Activity based Outward Bound Training (OBT) and Survival & Rescue Training Programmes for over a decade. qLE (Our OBT arm) is the only local company to offer Simulation Based Training (Silega) in Sri Lanka.

##### Inauguration & Briefing to the Event
A proper briefing will be given to the team on the objectives of this interactive Experiential Learning session followed by the safety briefing. 
We’ll create a power-packed learning environment to gain the best out of the allocated limited time. 

##### Forming-up of Teams 
Teams will be formed before the training by the management/ HR team. Before coming to Kitulgala, each team will get a few tasks to complete as a kick-starter for the event.

Interactive Activities are used to develop competencies; the 1st Activity is a scenario of a sinking ship where the teams have to make a decision on surviving individually or as a group. The value of team alignment and relationships are highlighted through this activity.

We have the perfect solution to your need for more. Our Advanced Canyoning experience takes place in Mannakethi Ella at Kitulgala. After taking the highway from Kitulgala over a bridge to Malwatte to reach the starting point of our trek on foot. You will have to trek up the mountain above the Girankitha-Oya reservoir for around 3 km where you will reach a footpath. After another 400m trek into the wild you will reach Mannakethi Ella.

Mannakethi Ella has a height of 200 ft (60m). The name Mannakethi was given because people used to wash their tools in this waterfall. “Manna” means knives and “Kethi” means hatchets. The source of this fall is the Girankitha-Oya reservoir that is served in turn by the western slopes of the Unagula Mountain. Mannakethi Ella flows down to meet and nourish the Kelani River.

Mannakethi Ella is a famous location for confidence jumping, water sliding, and now, people in this village have also started to do zip lining. Mannakethi Ella has  more advanced confidence jumps and waterslides than our basic experience package at Kataran-Oya. The height of the confidence jump in Mannakethi Ella is around 40ft whereas the one at Kataran-Oya has a height of only around 15ft. The Waterslides here are also more advanced and considerably longer than at Kataran-Oya. This is a place for the daring and brave and will push you to your limits.

Abseiling Lakshapana waterfall is an extreme activity that involves descending down a 126 meter high waterfall using a rope and a harness.

Lakshapana waterfall is one of the most scenic waterfalls in Sri Lanka, located in the Nuwara Eliya district. It is the 8th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and the 625th highest waterfall in the world. Abseiling Lakshapana waterfall involves descending beside the falls, into the abyss of the canyon and will definitely be a thrilling and rewarding experience for those who take on this challenge.

Getting there is the start of the challenge. abseiling Lakshapana waterfall requires a high level of fitness, skill, and courage. You have to hike through the rainforest for about an hour to reach the top of the waterfall. The descent requires that you control your speed and balance as you lower yourself down the waterfall, all the while enjoying the view of the forest, river, and mountains. You have to be careful not to slip or get hit by rocks or branches. You also have to be prepared for the cold and wet conditions.

We will begin our journey at Lakshapana Falls where we will meet up with you at around 10 am. 

After a brief introduction we will proceed with our hike to reach the top of the waterfall from where we will begin the descent. 

Our guides will instruct you on the use of the abseiling equipment and all safety measures to take. Please pay attention closely to instructions as a mistake could result in critical injury.

Don’t let the danger aspect put you off. It’s all part of the adventure. Let us begin our abseiling challenge as we descend 415ft beside the majestic Lakshapana falls.

Want to experience the beauty of the Negombo Lagoon at your own pace? 

Kayaking is the perfect solution. No rushing past the scenery surrounding you before you have time to take it all in. Experience the powerful pull of your oar in the calm water as you paddle yourself through the quiet beautiful lagoon surrounded by birds and mangroves on either side.

We will set off in the evening as this will allow you the chance to gaze at an amazing display of colours in the sky as the Sun sets for the day. While enjoying this psychedelic exhibit of the creativity of nature, look around and see if you can observe Egrets, Herons, Kingfishers and Cormorants gliding gracefully around and above the surrounding waters.

Departure from the docks will be at 4.30 pm (1630 hrs). Please be there so that we can set off at the best time to see the sights and get back before it’s dark.

Don’t worry if you’ve never done this before. We have tailored the experience for complete beginners and upwards. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to go on an adventure.

Colourful evening skies and the call of the wild.

Jump on aboard your kayak and leave your worries behind as you take on the longest river in Sri Lanka. 

Encounter thrilling scenes of wildlife that are hiding along the banks of the river and completely immerse yourself in the natural wonder that surrounds you. We will make camp at some beautiful and serene locations. Your expedition takes you through the Wasgamuwa National Park, but this is only the first step before you get thrown into the beautiful landscape that sits on either side of the Mahaweli river bank. Imagine the scenario in which you will be sitting on the sand with your feet up while elephants majestically cross the river or when  you witness elegant eagles swoop down to catch fish. 

This expedition is nature lovers' dream and has to be an essential item on any traveler's bucket list.

Manampitiya Bridge

Your journey will begin from Kandy roughly somewhere between 8 am to 9 am where you will be picked up and driven to Mahiyangana, the starting point where a hearty and wholesome lunch is waiting for you.

Our team of professionals will provide you with comprehensive pre-expedition training and then it will be time to take off down the river, taking on the exciting rapids and tides of the Mahaweli. 
As the day comes to an end, the expedition will come to a halt for the day, and tea will be served alongside the riverbank as we prepare the campsite for the night.
A hearty meal or a BBQ dinner will be served (as per your choice) as you replenish both your body and soul.

Kickstart

Time for a new day. Awaken your senses with the sounds of birds singing all around. 

You can start your day with a light breakfast and a cup of coffee (or tea). 
Jump back on to your kayaks and glide across vibrant river terrain and encounter the wild surroundings up close and personally. 

As midday approaches, so does lunch, and this becomes an affair of camaraderie as you and the whole expedition crew join our team in preparing a feast prepared with fresh ingredients. 

Take a stroll through the Wasgamuwa National Park and take a moment to indulge your senses in the awe-inspiring beauty of the landscape. 
Time to paddle your way along the river to the campsite for the night, where a freshly brewed cup of ginger tea awaits you. The day comes to a close beside a blazing campfire that is kept alive throughout the night. Join in the fun with stories of your experiences shared across a scrumptious dinner and a song or two to reinvigorate your soul before you get some sleep.

Fun continues…

The final day becomes bittersweet as you paddle on through more amazing landscapes while you try to take in everything for one last time. Your memories will be filled with vivid color and beauty as you reminisce about the thrill, the camaraderie and the fantastic encounters you've had along the way. Civilization slowly starts to make its mark along the river banks, and you can see how the great river has become an important part of those who live beside it. The sight of the Manampitiya bridge will signal the end of this epic adventure and as you drag your kayaks to shore for the last time, take a minute to make sure you have packed everything. Following lunch, you'll be escorted back to Kandy around 6 or 7 pm.

Are you an experienced rafter who couldn’t find a challenge big enough? We have prepared an advanced rafting experience which is definitely not for beginners. A 10 km ride through churning waters which will test your skills to the limit.

The town of Kitulgala is a one stop destination for those with a desire to test themselves through a series of adventures and challenges. The surrounding environment naturally contains many locations ideal for making adventure sports possible. While you are prepared to join in this rafting adventure, consider also joining us for Waterfall abseiling, Jungle trekking and Canyoning, which can all be enjoyed within the same day. 

We have a rafting experience tailored for beginners which starts further downstream. We recommend that rafters with more advanced skills try this challenge to gain a rush of adrenaline that will boost your confidence and courage.

Protecting the natural beauty of our surroundings is a personal responsibility of all of us. We should take measures to keep our ecosystem safe. Be aware of some of the rules you should follow by reading the terms and conditions carefully.

For those with an unquenchable thirst and hunger for adventure.

We have prepared for you an experience filled with the best of what the beautiful village of Meemure has to offer. Treks through the jungle, discovering hidden waterfalls and testing your endurance in a series of water-based adventure activities. We will spend the night under the open sky in a well-equipped campsite with delicious aromatic barbeque meals and a warm glowing campfire.

Known as one the most remote villages in Sri Lanka, Meemure is located bordering the Kandy and Matale districts. The population of the village is approximately 420, and it can only be accessed via one road. As a result of this, the village has remained isolated and has maintained a very traditional culture dating back 500 years. 

The closest city to Meemure is Hunnasgiriya which is 40km away. The road from Hunnasgiriya to Meemure is paved with breathtaking views of thick green jungles,  hills and towering mountains and waterfalls.

The meals we have prepared for you are all using ingredients that are cultivated in the village and homes of the villagers and also sourced from the nearby jungles.

We recommend you leave the ordinary behind and take a break from civilization. Opt for our campsite accommodation where you can experience freedom from the constraints and limits of modern life. We can also provide guest house accommodation if preferred.

__The road to Meemure has been repaired due to its popularity as a tourist destination. It is now possible to drive your private vehicles to the village without concern. However, we are also prepared to provide transport subject to an additional charge.__

We will begin our journey at our base location in Meemure where you will be transported to the village. (or arrive in your private vehicle)

##### What to expect:

__While not a scuba certification course, Try Scuba Diving and PADI Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.__

To breathe underwater for the first time – what a feeling! This is simply incomparable! You have to get used to it at first. After all, people are not made for it normally. After a few minutes of quiet breathing under water, most participants realize how easy diving can be. To stay calm and to follow the instructions of your PADI Instructor are the first prerequisites to complete the first diving exercises of your life. If that works after a few minutes, most of the participants are really enthusiastic and never forget that first impression under water.

##### Course Content:
You learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. If you make an open water dive, you’ll practice a few more skills in shallow water to prepare for your adventure. Get ready to:

- Learn about the basic scuba equipment and how to use it underwater
- Find out what it’s like to breathe underwater
- Learn key skills that you’ll use during every scuba dive
- Have fun swimming around and exploring

##### When do we start?
Because of the high demand on fun dives in the morning we decided to usually start Discover Scuba Diving in the afternoon (in some cases, in the off-season, there is also the possibility to start in the morning). You can start in the afternoon, at 13:15. Please contact us AT LEAST one day before, so that we can organize the course groups and reserve a spot for you.

__Morning Tour:__ 8:15 to 11:00
__Evening Tour:__ 13:15 to 16:00

Upon your arrival at the base, you will be welcomed by one of our local and international Divemasters and Instructors. You fill out the necessary paperwork, medical statement and make your payment. We accept both card and cash.

##### Preparation
First you start in the classroom with theoretical part which includes PADI video and a short quiz.

Then you are sized up for your equipment, we give you fins, mask and wetsuit. Once Instructor set up all the equipment, you learn basics about scuba diving.

Then you have a comprehensive but compact dive and boat briefing with your group. This consists of important information about the dive sites, safety procedures, attractions of the dive site, marine life, signs & signals.

##### Departure
Finally, we cast off! Once the equipment is loaded on the boats with the help of our staff, we take off to our dives sites, of which most can be reached within 10 minutes.

##### Diving
Time passes quickly underwater as you are surrounded by all the fish. You will enjoy spectacular marine life and first time breathing underwater. One dive usually takes a maximum of 35 to 45 minutes depending on your breathing and air consumption.

If you loved your first experience, you could also do a second dive and get even more comfortable. *(Extra USD 70 will added)* And if you have more time to spare and cannot resist getting into the water, you could continue on to doing the PADI Open Water Course.

After your return to the diving school, our Divemaster helps you to identify different species that you witnessed during your dives.

Diving helps create a bond between people, all coming from different parts of the world, but all sharing the same love for the ocean, and we provide a platform for just that.

PADI Discover Scuba Diving in Hikkaduwa

As the monsoon season has started in the island, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in the Wellawaya and surrounding hilly areas. 

Diyaluma Falls is the second highest waterfall in Sri Lanka, with a height of 720 feet. It is located in the Badulla District of Sri Lanka and is the location of one of our more exciting adventures.

Waterfall abseiling is a unique challenge to adventure seekers. Once you go over the edge there is no chance of stopping halfway. The only way forward is to complete the challenge. The combination of the intense and powerful feeling of the water and the fact that you are hanging onto a rope, gives you an adrenaline rush that you have never experienced before.

The Diyaluma abseiling experience is, in terms of height, our biggest waterfall abseiling challenge currently offered. The plunge over the edge beside which we will be descending is a massive 625 foot drop.

Our journey begins with our team meeting with you at Diyaluma Falls in Koslanda Village. (around 10AM)

After introducing ourselves we will begin our first part of the journey as we set out on the 1.5 km hike to the edge of the waterfall. 

Our guides will now give you all the safety instructions and advise you on how to operate the equipment and safety apparatuses correctly. Please pay attention and keep them in mind. 

Time for the fun part! We will now begin our descent, abseiling beside the magnificent Diyaluma falls for 625ft.

__How long does it take to learn Kitesurfing?__

On average students need 8-12h to get up on the board and ride, however, this greatly depends on individuals. We recommend you commit to a minimum of 3 days of lessons in order to learn to ride. A typical kite lesson day consists of 3 hours class in the morning and 2 hours class in the afternoon (one kite day is about 5 hours of kitesurfing).

__Top Tips__
- For a better experience, you should be reasonably comfortable in the water if you want to learn to kitesurf.
- Good balance and core strength can make learning to kitesurf a whole lot easier!
- Have a play on a board or try wakeboarding to get a headstart.
- If you have any injuries or medical conditions, check with your doctor first and notify your kite instructor.

Kalpitiya

This is an individual private lesson, to improve your ability in kitesurfing. Learn to jump, board-off, unhook, wave riding, strapless, back roll, or just simple turns can be options.

Private Lesson (1 Hour)

Gives you more understanding of what kiteboarding is all about. Teaching of the wind mechanisms, the setting up of the equipment, the launching and piloting of the kite (2-4 lines), safety requirement.

Level 1 (3 Hours)

Teaching of the wind mechanisms, the setting up of the equipment, the launching and piloting of the kite, safety requirements and Kite power management, body dragging, self-rescue, water start theories. 

Level 1-2 (6 Hours)

The first 2 levels above are incorporated in the 9 hour course. The level 3 is to improve and have your first session in the water with the board. 

Level 1-2-3 (9 Hours)

Instruction package for anyone that has already had some kite lessons. Teaching includes going upwind, changing direction, board recovery, first jump.

Discovery Kitesurfing for Beginners

##### Sunscreen
Even on cloudy days the solar radiation is very strong. We recommend you use suncream with SPF 50 or you can purchase our Organic Zinc Sunblock from the Kite Shop.

##### Rashguard 
If you have sensitive skin, or if you just arrived, we recommend you also protect your shoulders and arms with a long sleeve shirt or a rashguard. This will also protect you from any scratches that might be caused by the harness. Our funky KSL rashguards are available in the Kite Shop.

##### Hat 
During your lessons you will wear a helmet, but you might want to protect your head from the sun while at the beach.

##### Sunglasses 
Especially in your first lessons you will look up in the sky (and sun) a lot to see what your kite is doing. If your eyes are sensitive we recommend you wear sunglasses, just make sure to secure them with a band. You can also purchase water repellant sunglasses from our Kite Shop.

##### Water bottle
There is a water dispenser at the beach where you can refill your water bottle and reusable water bottles are available in your room and at the camp.

Reading and hearing about things are not the same as experiencing them firsthand. We invite you to join us in Kitulgala for a day to remember. White water kayaking down the Kelani river is an experience that should not be missed while you are in Sri Lanka, whether resident or visiting. 

For the experienced kayaker, the Lower Kelani offers seven Class II and III rapids, each with its own distinct technical challenge. The stretch is approximately 6 1/2 kilometers, and this run will keep your attention on the next horizon line while also giving ample time to surf a few waves. 

Ideal times are from May to December, although there are no “bad” times. The river is dam controlled, therefore water levels can be low in April, but can also be quite high during the monsoon season.

Enjoy a refreshing beverage while you change out of your travelling clothes into appropriate attire for kayaking. We will take you to the location once you’re ready.

Straight down to business. Prepare for our introductory session on the ins and outs of kayaking. Our team will be giving you a detailed outline of the procedures and safety protocols so please be attentive. 

Time to test the waters. You will be given a basic skills training session to prepare you for the ride ahead.

You're all set. After making sure everyone is prepared and hyped, don't forget to double-check your safety gear and get ready to set off on your kayaking adventure. Good luck!

##### Swimsuit & Shorts
It goes without saying that you'll be spending a lot of time in the water and in some muddy places. So bring some appropriate comfortable clothing that won't hinder your movements and that you won't mind getting a bit messy in.

##### Towels
If you need them. We'll never judge you if you enjoy air drying instead.

##### You'll need shoes
They'll be exposed to dampness and mud so don't bring your favorite pair. We recommend Sturdy River Shoes or Sandals with a ankle strap. 

##### Cameras!!  
We know that everyone is going to put their phone cameras into overdrive so bring protective covers for them if you plan to take them along for the hike so that you don't have to worry about them in case of rain.

Have you always wanted to challenge yourself to try new things and test your limits? We have the perfect day of adventure planned for you and it’s all in the water.

Known as one the most remote villages in Sri Lanka, Meemure is located bordering the Kandy and Matale districts. The population of the village is approximately 420, and it can only be accessed via one road. As a result of this, the village has remained isolated and has maintained a very traditional culture dating back 500 years. 

The closest city to Meemure is Hunnasgiriya which is 40km away. The road from Hunnasgiriya to Meemure is paved with breathtaking views of thick green jungles,  hills and towering mountains and waterfalls.

(The road to Meemure has been repaired due to its popularity as a tourist destination. It is now possible to drive your private vehicles to the village without concern. However, we are also prepared to provide transport subject to an additional charge.)

The meals we have prepared for you are all using ingredients that are cultivated in the village and homes of the villagers and also sourced from the nearby jungles.

The village is plentiful in waterfalls and natural springs and is the perfect location to spend a day testing and challenging yourself to try something new.

Our activities will take place in the waters of “Sooriya Arana” where you can swim, go stream sliding, and take part in a confidence jump into natural water pools. We provide all the equipment and guidance needed for your safety. All you have to do is join us and make a day to remember. 

We will begin our journey at our base office in Meemure where you will be transported to the village. (or arrive in your private vehicle)

Take part in a delicious traditional breakfast courtesy of the proficient village chefs at Meemure. 

With our hunger satisfied we will now switch to adventure mode as we prepare for our activities.

Let’s take a walk through the village and head to the waterfall which will be the start of our day’s adventure.

Fun, Excitement and Thrills to your heart's content as we take part in Stream Sliding, Confidence jumps and take swims in natural pools.

After the exhausting but exciting tasks, it is now time to head back to a delicious traditional lunch served in buffet style.

Time for some rest and relaxation. Explore your surroundings and take in the beauty and simplicity of village life and unspoiled culture.

Time for some freshly brewed tea with a hint of ginger to intensify the flavor.
