You can experience the nature and learn a lot about it while talking with Channa. Dinner and breakfast were the best we had in Sri Lanka so far.

The treehouse and the surrounding nature are breathtaking. Everything was built by hand by Channa and his friend. The fact that he named the treehouse after Usha says it all about their loving bond.

Little tip: make sure to arrive before dark—you still need to cross the lake by boat and walk a short trail through the jungle, and trust me, you don’t want to run into an elephant in the dark!

This was so much more than just a stay—it was a WONDERFUL, INSPIRING experience we’ll never forget!

Channa and his wife made us the best homemade bbq dinner and sri lankan breakfast we had in Sri Lanka so far. We spotted a lot of animals (bufalo, birds, lizards, rodents, monkeys,...) in the truly amazing scenery. Everything you need is available and clean: bed, shower + toilet, sink,  charging station. I definitly recommend this stay.
